Grief and Loss Counselling

Loss will come in many forms throughout our lifetime and trying to label the variety of losses experienced can be difficult.   Every human being will interpret loss differently, and for most of us, we adapt and find our way; but sometimes the losses may have a cumulative effect.  Therefore, it is important to recognize when the symptoms associated with loss become so debilitating it prevents us from moving forward in our journey through life.

This counselling support is for those who are experiencing any, or all, of the following symptoms

  • Loss of energy and withdrawn

  • Feeling overwhelmed

  • Feeling unworthy

  • Loss of identity and uncertainty of your next steps

  • Feeling anxious and stressed

  • Trouble sleeping

  • Feeling angry or betrayed

  • Trouble communicating and/or finding it difficult to connect with others.  Perhaps feeling isolated and alone.

I work with individuals, using techniques and strategies from a variety of Therapeutic Modalities, such as: Trauma Informed Expressive Arts, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Guided Imagery and Relaxation. I believe that every individual, with the right support, can find the answers and the strength within themselves to manage, and even overcome, the sometimes-debilitating effects associated with loss.
